Terms of Use
The few rules for using Someone's at the door, on the web and in the iPhone app.
The short version
- Make kind messages. Don't use it to hurt, scare or cheat anyone.
- Your words are yours. You're responsible for what you send.
- Anyone with your link can open the message.
- It's free to make and send. We'll always say clearly if something costs money.
Who we are
Someone's at the door is made by [publisher name] in Sweden ("we", "us"). By using
the website or the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What you can and can't do
You can write messages on cue cards and send them as links, for any personal occasion. Please don't use it to:
- harass, threaten, bully or frighten anyone, or send hateful content;
- pretend to be someone you're not, or trick people (for example phishing or scams);
- share anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share;
- overload, break into or copy the service, or use it to send spam.
If a link breaks these rules, we may delete it.
Your messages
What you write stays yours. You only give us permission to store and deliver it so the link works. Messages are
encrypted on your phone, so we can't read them, and anyone who has the link can. Send it only to the person
it's for. How we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
Our part
The drawings, the guy with the cue cards, the scenes, the code and the name belong to us. The music is public
domain, and the fonts are used under their open licences. We try to keep everything working, but the service is
provided "as is": we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we may change or stop
features. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits your rights as a
consumer.
Paid features
Making and sending messages is free. If we add paid features, the price and what you get will be shown clearly
before you buy. In the app, purchases are made through Apple and Apple's terms for them apply.
Changes and the law
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date below. Swedish law applies, without taking away
the protection the law where you live gives you.
